Thanks to everyone who came out to the QUILTBAG Game Jam. We had a blast and a lot of really funky, beautiful, weird, inspiring, and just plain AWESOME games came out of the jam.
To wrap up the jam I’d like to showcase the eight games made at USC for the jam. If you’d like to see all the games submitted to the game jam (including those who didn’t come to judging on Sunday the 3rd), check out the submission site at quiltbagjam.herokuapp.com/submissions.
Following are the eight games from USC. Click on the title of each to game to go to its submission page and download the game!
Hold On - Hold On is a two player game that simulates how uncomfortable it could be holding your own partner’s hand in public, something most people do not have to face if in a hetero-relationship.
Master Curator - The game about frantically creating a museum exhibit.
Paint the Backyard - A simple art game where you are given a canvas and four colors of paint and told to “paint the backyard”.
Party Time - A choose-your-own text adventure made on Twine. Becca must navigate her 21st birthday party.
Planet Impact - Control the planet, to gain mass by impacting other planets.
The Longest Couch - Hurry up and kiss. It’s getting late.
True Blue - A young octopus* tries to fake his way through life in a world hostile to his true nature.
*(Or maybe a ghost? Use your imagination!)
Rainbow Connection - Play against a friend in this color-based puzzle game to fill the game board with the seven colors of the rainbow.
Again, thanks to everyone who participated in the jam! See you at the next game jam!
