We’re doing elections tomorrow!
Running MEGA is a lot of work. Here are the roles people will be voting for:
President - leads the organization; ensures that events are planned and run effectively; collects and delegates tasks among the e-board; represents the club on campus. Only past e-board members are eligible for this position.
Vice-President - assists the president; runs meetings and events in the president’s absence; shares group’s task load.
Secretary - takes notes on e-board meetings; keeps calendar up to date; reminds board members about their tasks.
Treasurer - applies for funding from Viterbi and SCA; keeps track of the club’s budget; manages the club’s USC Credit Union account.
University Liaison - advertises club events on campus; sends out e-mails and sets up Facebook events; manages the club’s social media presence. (graduate and undergraduate positions are available for this role)
Industry Liaison - finds and contacts guest speakers and judges from the industry; attends to guests during and after the event.
Webmaster - develops, designs, and maintains the club’s website; posts content (in development).
Member-At-Large - if you are interested in leading an initiative or helping in some other way, you are welcome to contact us.
We encourage any first- or second-year undergraduate students to run for the Secretary and University Liaison positions.
